The ice sculpture competitions are held all over the world, they are usually held in winter. They are of course present in France but the most famous are located in Poland, Canada, Russia, Japan. The most prestigious, located in Alaska is the world championship where we could have the surrounding temperature -45° Celsius to 15 tons of ice per team; physical and mental abilities are put to test high!
Poznan 2012
At competitions, we confront us with the biggest ice sculptors in the world who return more or less every year; we are a little less than a hundred. It is interesting to share its knowledge and techniques of each but also to share unforgettable moments with this great family of enthusiasts. The ice sculpture is not only a passion, it has also become a “sport”: indeed in recent years the ice sculpture is part of the Olympic Winter Games, but in parallel.
